I adore this story by children’s author/illustrator Crystal Bentley! This loving story of why all humans come in different skin colors blends story telling and science in a uniquely touching way. This is a story we all need and one that children will love. The rich illustrations will pull you in and take you and your children on a journey to beautiful places. I didn’t want it to end and I’m hoping there will be a series!

This is a beautiful book that tells such a wonderful story about WHY humans come with such unique and wonderful skin colors. The message is so relevant to both children and adults as well. I loved adding this to my book collection and give gratitude to the author for creating such a unique folk story.

What a cute story with a very relevant message for children AND adults. The author has done a fabulous job of reminding us that the beauty of our different shades should be celebrated and enjoyed for all the ways it helps each one of us! It’s something that everyone needs to be reminded of. I enjoyed the many details in the writing and illustrations. Sun and Stork is sure to become a classic tale for future generations!

Such a beautifully written story that we all need to read to celebrate the uniqueness of every one of us and to talk about why that uniqueness should be celebrated. The story and illustrations are whimsical but approach practical topics that should all be on the forefront of family talks at the dinner table. A lovely and permanent spot in our library!
